Our Salesforce Administrator will play a crucial role in optimizing and maintaining the Salesforce platform for the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will work closely with other administrators, developers, architects, business stakeholders, and end-users to understand requirements, implement changes, and ensure the smooth operation of Salesforce systems. The successful candidate will have an understanding of Salesforce functionalities, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. We're seeking Salesforce team members to help modernize and enhance enterprise systems that connects healthcare providers directly with millions of US veterans seeking care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop reusable components to improve team productivity.
Collaborate with the QA team to address defects.
Participate in sprint planning to break down user stories into tasks.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
Develop integration solutions with third-party systems.
Collaborate with the Platform Architect on system design decisions.
Implement simple & complex features using Low-Code/No-Code (LCNC) tools.
Collaborate with the UI/UX Specialist to implement front-end designs.
Ensure accessibility standards are met for all interfaces – 508 Compliance.
Assist in integrating third-party APIs or configured connections to other applications.
Report defects in Jira and track them through resolution.
Assist with the maintenance and updates of existing documentation based on feature changes.
Configure objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and other system components to meet business requirements.
Collaborate with other Administrators, Architects and Developers to implement customizations, integrations, and enhancements.
Support data cleansing, deduplication, and migration activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including user provisioning, profile management, and permission set assignments.
Assist with documenting configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
May assist with testing with the QA team – must have the ability to write a test script.
Support integrations configured through third-party tools or built-in connectors.
Proficient in basic customizations using standard tools (e.g., forms, views).
High-level understanding of system setup, user roles, and configurations. Can perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot basic issues.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Minimum, of 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Administrator.
Experience configuring and creating solutions in Salesforce.
Experience with some or all of the SF Modules - Service, Sales, Marketing, Commerce, Data Cloud modules and/or MuleSoft, Tableau, and Einstein AI.
Experience working in an Agile Team Framework.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in development tools to update stories such as Jira, Agile Accelerator, X-Ray, etc.
Experience partnering with QA, and release management.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with keen mindfulness of keeping the goal in mind.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:
Salesforce Administrator certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification.
Experience working with Federal agencies is a plus.
Experience configuring managed connections with other Microsoft products like Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Power BI
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
CLEARANCE:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
