Client Executive, Relationship Management, Hedge Fund Services (Finance)

Major Duties :1. Manages complex Hedge Fund Services clients. Evaluates, designs, implements and oversees clients' total relationship plan.\n\n2. Reviews individual client relationships to determine the hedge fund administration, banking, and investment needs of clients; anticipates and creates opportunities for enhancing these client relationships. \n\n3. Places emphasis on relationship building and participates in development of new solutions to client needs, brings in experts when appropriate, and closes the sale. Ensures smooth delivery of new services and communicates emerging needs. \n\n4. Initiates regular, ongoing dialogue with clients and clients' advisors. Counsels clients on emerging financial/industry issues, new bank products and services, regulatory tax changes and general environment. Discusses impact on client's activities and the banks services.\n\n5. Manages client profitability. Understands competitive environment and anticipates opportunities. Develops pricing strategies and works with team to enhance profitability. \n\n6. Coordinates/leads Northern Trust wide relationship reviews in order to develop client-specific strategic relationship plans and assess progress in meeting the goals set forth in the plans.\n\n7. Interacts with and involves bank senior management in reporting client servicing activities/issues. Provides management with defined reports highlighting client profitability, contribution and any servicing gaps. Escalates issues appropriately\n\n8. Provides input regarding team members' performance with respect to their overall contribution to team results. \n\n9. Participates in new business efforts and defined prospecting within a given marketplace.\n\n10. Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and / or business knowledge and functional expertise.\n\n11. Focus of role is on execution of strategic direction of business function activities.\n\n12. Carries out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues.\n\n13. Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.\n\nKnowledge :Excellent oral and written communication skills are required\nIn-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required\nHighly flexible and adaptable to change\nTechnical skills / systems knowledge is required\nLeadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff.\n\nExperience :A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred. Related Industry qualification is preferred.
Salary Range:
$137,400 - 240,400 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
