Chief Financial Officer (Project Management)
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department. This includes the conduct of weekly Leve-10 meetings with the Accounting Department to ensure alignment on key issues. Develop and implement procedures to ensure that financial information is processed and reported in a timely manner. Establish clear deadlines for each step in the accounting process and ensure that team members adhere to them. Develop and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks and ensure the accuracy of financial information. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Review and publish financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness. Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable Provide financial information and analysis to the members of the C-suite. Manage the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors. Research and communicate accounting updates for compliance with GAAP. Oversee the preparation and filing of all required tax returns, including income tax and sales tax. Supervise and manage the accounting/finance team, including training and performance management. Monitor the progress of accounting tasks and take corrective action if necessary to ensure that deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field CPA certification preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years of leadership/management experience Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting regulations. Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, QuickBooks Online, Lacerte and Canopy
