Project Director/Supervisor - Research (Project Management)
The Minneapolis Fed's Research Division has a long history of producing top-tier academic and policy research on a wide range of issues related to the mission of the Federal Reserve System. First and foremost, the Research Division prepares analysis in support of the Bank President's participation in Federal Open Market Committee meetings and other public engagements. In addition, staff engage in academic research related to strategic Bank initiatives, including monetary policy, banking regulation, debt crises, inequality, education, and minimum wage, among others. For more than 50 years, the Division has had a strong partnership with the University of Minnesota. More than 100 research and policy economists, research analysts and assistants, local and national research consultants, visiting scholars from around the world, and a highly trained professional staff comprise the Research Division. The Research Division has a strong commitment to DE&I to create a welcoming working environment and, more generally, an economy that works for all.
The Division is seeking a Project Director / Supervisor in the Research Division's Support function. This individual plays a key role in the Division, managing a team and overseeing business-critical activities such as events, travel, and business operations. Additionally, the Project Director / Supervisor completes complex analysis and special projects for Division senior leadership. To be successful in this role, an individual must demonstrate strong ability to collaborate and lead across departments and institutions towards common goals; excellent planning, analysis, and critical thinking skills; ability to identify and implement process improvements; and excellent customer service skills. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President of Research Administration.

Onsite work is an essential function of this position, and you are expected to be in the office 4 days per week for meetings and team collaboration.
This position requires access to confidential supervisory information (CSI) and/or Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) information. Access to CSI and FOMC information is limited to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, individuals who meet the definition of “protected individual” under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), and certain other nonimmigrants. Candidates who are not U.S. citizens must sign a declaration of intent to expeditiously become a U.S. citizen when eligible. *We are not able to hire anyone that would require sponsorship now or at any point in the future.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary range is $112,300 - $140,326 - $168,400
Salary offer will be based on qualifications/experience of the candidate, alignment with market data, the needs of the position, our total compensation package, and internal equity.
