POSITION SUMMARY:
The Department of World Languages at the University of South Florida-Tampa campus seeks a 9-month VISITING Assistant Professor of Instruction, starting August 7, 2025. This is a visiting position with the possible extension for a second and/or third year. Review of applications will begin May 16, 2025 - incomplete applications will NOT be reviewed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties by August 7, 2025. Applications from individuals who are ABD (all but dissertation) will be accepted, but the degree must be conferred by appointment start date. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
During the academic year 2025-2026, the successful applicant will teach courses such as the online course in Medical and Bio-scientific Terminology, as well as in-person courses in Classics such as Mythology, Ancient Greek and Roman Civilization, and Roman Literature, which are part of USF's General Education curriculum.
