Job Overview: As the Distribution Superintendent for the East Rockies area, the successful candidate will spearhead our distribution operations, ensuring that products are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. Managing a fleet of 8 tractors and 16 trailers, he will oversee approximately 5,400 deliveries annually across nearly 520,000 miles. Leading a team of 10 drivers and 2 mechanics, he will cultivate a high-performance culture focused on safety and service excellence. This role is pivotal in optimizing operational efficiency, maintaining strict adherence to safety and compliance standards, and fostering strong customer relationships through exceptional service delivery. Responsibilities: - Oversee Regional Distribution Operations: Manage distribution activities across the East Rockies, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products. - Manage Fleet and Resources: Supervise 8 tractors and 16 trailers, optimizing their utilization to meet delivery schedules and reduce operational costs. - Lead and Develop Team Members: Oversee a team of 10 drivers and 2 mechanics, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing team. - Ensure Safety and Compliance: Uphold strict adherence to all federal, state, and local transportation regulations, as well as company policies related to safety and environmental standards. - Monitor Delivery Performance: Coordinate and monitor 5,420 total deliveries and 519,876 miles driven annually, ensuring efficiency and reliability in distribution. - Implement Operational Improvements: Develop and execute strategies to enhance logistics operations, including route optimization and process improvements. - Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with other departments to align distribution efforts with overall business objectives and customer needs. - Manage Maintenance Activities: Coordinate with mechanics to ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, minimizing downtime and extending equipment life. - Analyze Data and Reporting: Collect and analyze performance data to generate reports, informing strategic decisions and identifying areas for improvement. - Enhance Customer Satisfaction: Build strong relationships with customers by ensuring reliable delivery services and addressing any concerns promptly. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. - Minimum of five years of experience in transportation or distribution management. - Proven experience managing a fleet and supervising drivers and mechanics. - Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
