Manufacturing Process Specialist/CNC Programmer (Finance)

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Specialist / CNC Programmer for a hybrid role that combines programming expertise with process optimization. In this position, you will be responsible for programming CNC machines, performing cost BOM analysis, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with customers to ensure their requirements are met. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in CNC programming, process improvement, and customer-focused engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities: CNC Programming: Program CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers, etc.) to produce high-precision parts, ensuring they meet engineering specifications and quality standards. Cost BOM Analysis: Develop and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) to assess material costs, provide cost estimations, and assist in production budgeting. Ensure resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the manufacturing process. Process Optimization & Technical Support: Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Work closely with production teams to implement process improvements and optimize workflows. Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve machine or process-related issues, including mechanical, electrical, and software problems, to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations. Customer Interaction: Communicate directly with customers to gather requirements, discuss technical specifications, and address any concerns. Ensure customer needs are understood and effectively met through the manufacturing process. Quality Control Support: Work with the quality control team to ensure that parts meet required specifications, tolerances, and finishes. Contribute to the development and implementation of inspection procedures. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of CNC programs, machine setups, and production schedules. Provide regular progress reports to management, highlighting any challenges or recommendations. Collaboration Across Departments: Collaborate with other departments such as Engineering, Quality, and Production to align manufacturing processes with customer requirements and ensure smooth project execution. Qualifications: Associate degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent related experience. Proven experience as a CNC Programmer with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes. Proficiency in CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, Fanuc, Haas, Siemens) and CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360). Experience with creating and analyzing Bills of Materials (BOM) for cost estimation and material management. Strong problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting CNC machine and process issues. Excellent communication skills and experience interacting directly with customers to address their needs and specifications. Knowledge of quality control processes, measurement systems, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Experience with ERP/MRP systems for managing production schedules and BOMs. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and process improvement strategies. Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques or automation technologies.
