POSITION SUMMARY

The Pressroom Team Lead - will have knowledge or ability to set up and operate a variety of Printing Presses. They will be able to direct crew though all aspects of safety, quality and production. This includes the ability to monitor safety, quality, output and productivity on a lean manufacturing culture .

• Monitors the production floor to assess technical needs to departments.
• Involved in troubleshooting equipment as needed.
• Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures. Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
• Follow the requirements of their documented process as defined in the ISO Quality Manual.
• Promotes and supports the stated goals and policies of the Department and Company
• Will fill in as Supervisor during vacations and absences

QUALIFICATIONS Requirements

• Ability to lead and work effectively with limited supervision.
• Self-motivated individual that is capable of finding problems and correct them as necessary.
• Minimum of 5 years of Press lead experience effectively operating and troubleshooting complex Press equipment
• Extensive knowledge of Press equipment and processes at SME level.
• The ability to make effective decisions quickly
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to function in a team environment
• Demonstrated technical aptitude, analytical/problem solving skills and computer proficiency
• Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to mentor and lead crews
• Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Knows safety equipment and is aware of machine safety procedures.
• Ability to work a rotating shift, weekends and overtime as needed
• Must be in good standing with no current final warnings
• Must meet minimum requirements stated above
