Position Summary
The Software Commissioning Manager (SCM) leads the commissioning team, ensuring efficient execution of activities in line with project schedules. They oversee the remote deployment and validation of tracker control systems, maintaining communication with the Commissioning & Controls Project Manager (CCPM) to keep commissioning status updated. The SCM also works with internal teams to improve workflows, enhance automation, and address technical challenges, ensuring smooth coordination among all teams involved.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the remote software commissioning team, ensuring timely and efficient execution of tasks in alignment with project schedules.
Track and communicate commissioning progress in real-time with the Commissioning & Controls Project Manager (CCPM), ensuring accurate updates for customer communication and field coordination.
Assign resources, balance workloads, and provide support to maintain project timelines and resolve technical challenges.
Ensure proper cloud configuration, device validation, and readiness for deployment.
Monitor and document project status to align with construction schedules and stakeholder expectations.
Troubleshoot issues by coordinating efforts across teams (techs, software, and controls).
Develop commissioning workflows, documentation, and training materials to improve efficiency and standardization.
Drive continuous improvement by analyzing feedback and refining processes and software functionalities.
Represent the Software Commissioning Team in leadership discussions to align strategies with company goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly manage and lead the Software Commissioning Team.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Computer Networking, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience: 3-5 years in project management or commissioning.
Skills:
Team leadership, project coordination, and prioritization.
Strong communication skills, both internally and with customers.
Problem-solving and adaptability.
Process improvement and automation focus.
Technical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
Proficient in creating technical documentation.
Knowledge of cloud platforms, networked devices, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, UART, etc.).
Familiarity with IoT protocols (MQTT, LoRa, etc.).

Primarily desk-based, with occasional visits to project sites requiring walking, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
