- HS Diploma.
- Currently enrolled in a Cooperative Education Engineering program with an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Casting or Metal fabrication experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Efficient analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency of computer applications (i.e. Microsoft Office products, graphics, and statistical analysis software).
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
A Product Engineer at Howmet Engines maintains the dimensional integrity of products via continuous improvement & maintenance. They are also responsible for the cost performance of a portfolio of investment cast, super alloy, aerospace and power generation components.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Troubleshoot manufacturing problems & root cause analysis.
- Develop new, and refine existing investment casting product to reduce scrap, rework, and manufacturing costs.
- Support manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery of product through all operations.
- Work concurrently with customers to design components for castability.
- Maintain customer relationships through joint resolution of issues.
- Maintain and improve casting scrap and rework.
- Improve casting profitability through cost reductions.
- Achieve cost reduction through process improvements.
- Develop and refine manufacturing work instructions.
- Develop casting processes for new products.
- Develop tooling suites in support of cast products accounting for proportional changes in product dimensions resulting from the manufacturing process.
- Assist sales department in quotation of new products.
- Achieve cost targets for development and production castings.
- Establish and achieve milestones for casting development.
- Interact with customers to understand technical requirements & resolve issues.
- Provide program management for individual part portfolio.
