Under supervision of clinical manager, mental health clinician I/II will provide direct mental health services in an outpatient setting. Shall provide direct services in the form of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment within the Adult Recovery program. This position will be responsible for screenings and intake for medical beneficiaries looking to engage in specialty mental health services. Clinician will make appropriate referrals upon assessment.
How will I contribute
Shall conduct assessments, diagnosis and POC development (if applicable) to Kings County medi-cal beneficiaries to determine medical necessity. Shall help to track, schedule, and screen for beneficiaries seeking outpatient mental health servicesShall evaluate and create referrals as needed to appropriate level of care and/or providers within community. Maintain a monthly productivity standard of 65%.Complete documentation within 0-3 days of serviceMaintain positive working relationships with community partners a community at community agencies such as, but not limited to Kings County Behavioral Health, Child Welfare Services, Probation, Adventist Health.Participate in appropriate staff meetings and other committee meetings as needed.Provide training presentations, consultation, education, and information as requested, and as time allows, to community agencies, individuals and professionals.Be sensitive to community agencies and general publics needs for quick access for mental health services and to help promote a positive image to the community.The employee may be required, on an infrequent basis, to assist in covering crisis needs. Maintain licensure through BBS as a Marriage & Family Therapist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (or registered/waivered/associate for MH Clinician I)Achieve all performance standards.Complete four hours of cultural humility training per year. Communicate with and translate for Spanish speaking consumers, if applicable. Achieve basic competencies in using our electronic record keeping system. This include but are not limited to:
*Effective use of EHR Scheduler
*Effective use of Clinician Home Page
*Effective Development and maintenance of POCs
*Effective use creation of daily SALs
*Effective Development of Plan of Care
*Effective creation of progress notes.In course of performing job duties follows all King View policies and procedures, administrative directives, all relevant county, state, and federal regulations, and any performance obligations contained in the Kings View program contracts with other entities. Familiarity with and adherence to compliance with the code of conduct and the requirements of the compliance program that are elements of performance evaluations and conditions of employment.

What I bring
MS, MA, MSW, PsyD, PhD in Psychology, Counseling, Social Sciences, or related area. Registered AMFT, ASW, or APCC with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. APCC- only requires that couples and family requirement was met Licensed LMFT* Class C Driving LicenseMaintain active status as a registrant with Californias Board of Behavioral Sciences. Familiarity with and adherence to compliance with the code of conduct and the requirements of the compliance program are elements of performance evaluations and conditions of employment.Fast learner, organized, can deal with changing environment, ability to get along well with others, team player. Intermediate facility with Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
