The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking an undergraduate level (rising Senior only) with a preferred major in Economics.  This opening will be onsite.  The work schedule is Monday – Friday (40 hour per week).  This is a 10-week paid internship.  The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.  

Intern projects:

• You will assist our Senior Regional Economic Analysts on preliminary research for one or two topics that feed our pipeline for Regional Spotlight articles and other needs. You will be involved in the literature search, data gathering, data cleaning, preliminary analysis, and documentation of each step. You will receive in-depth exposure to regional economic theories, general economic analysis, and several analytical tools.

As time permits (and business needs require), you may be asked to assist with tasks on other regional economic analysis team projects. You will also have opportunities to participate in research department seminars and meetings of the regional economics group.

Required Skills:

• Microsoft office suite fluency required
• Experience and familiarity with Excel and some statistical/econometric software would be helpful
• Knowledgeable in R would be a plus
