Duties and Responsibilities: Develop a positive working environment which nurtures and rewards good practice through a program of training and development. Leads by example and develops effective teams by providing support and guidance to Personal Support Staff within the homes which ICAN serves. Ensures the completion of each individuals Outcomes, Medication Administration Record (MAR), Daily Development Logs (DDLs), Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), charts, procedures and Medical and Health File along with any charting omissions. Provides regular supervision to Personal Support Staff in line with ICANs procedures and standards.Ensures that all policies and procedures related to the running of the home are adhered to including but not limited to health and safety Ensures employees adhere to the policies, procedures and content agreed to in Employee Handbook. Develop a culture which enables employees to maximize their development and create areas of expertise within the service. Manage delegated budgets to ensure resources are used to best effect, in line with ICAN policy and procedures. Ensure employees work and comply with financial systems in line with ICANs policies, procedures, and guidelines.Provides support with daily tasks, including but not limited to feeding, meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping, providing transportation and support for doctor appointments, outdoor and leisure activities, and community involvement and integration.Ensures all employees attend Employee Trainings, Meetings and Workshops as required.Ensure each PSS employee meets all state/federal rules and regulations. Maintains required knowledge and understanding of persons served Individual Abuse Prevention Plan and Self-Management Assessment. Ensures employees are documenting service delivered in accordance with all Department of Human Services regulations.Manages the employees completion of Safe Medication Assistance and Administration per Policy and Procedure requirements.Ensures employees are meeting and addressing the medical needs of each person served.Ensures employees follow and displays knowledge and understanding of all routines and guidelines. Manages the appropriate maintenance of records and personal information to the standards of federal/state privacy laws and regulations.Performs additional assigned duties at the direction of Personal Support Director.
