Access Clinician (Healthcare)

LifeWays is seeking an Access Clinician to provide culturally competent, trauma-informed care to those seeking support. Your expertise will help ensure timely, effective, and compassionate services for our community.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm, No Weekends
Four ten hour shifts available, day off negotiable based on team needs and planning discussions.

What You'll Do:

Conduct assessments to determine eligibility for behavioral health services and supports.
Provide empathetic crisis intervention and safety planning.
Collaborate with community resources to connect individuals to appropriate care.
Ensure timely documentation and maintain up-to-date records.
Work flexible, non-traditional schedules to meet client needs, including on-call services.

What You Bring:

Knowledge: Familiarity with Michigan's community mental health system and behavioral health best practices.
Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, crisis management, and proficiency with tools like EMRs and Microsoft Office.
Abilities: Adaptability in high-stress environments, sound clinical judgment, and commitment to continuous learning.
