Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for reviewing and updating Air Vent's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) / Work Instructions and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) sheets for all Plastic Injection Molding production lines. Additionally, this person will participate in the posting, training and rollout of these safety and training documents to our employees. This will be a valuable opportunity for an individual to get hands on experience learning a variety of different manufacturing processes such as metal/aluminum stamping, progressive stamping, riveting, packaging, and general assembly. The individual will be responsible for spending time on the floor documenting steps, taking photos of processes, and then updating and creating new documents as necessary for over 20 production lines and 20 WIP presses. This role will provide valuable experience to an individual interested in pursuing a role in operations management, industrial safety, or quality.

Requirements:
Junior or Senior in pursuit of a bachelor's degree, preferably in a Plastics Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
Strong capabilities with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
Experience/familiarity with manufacturing and assembly processes.
Familiar with traditional Industrial Engineering skills.
Experience/Understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts.
Exposure or experience in a manufacturing environment.
Work Conditions:
Environment: Office with moderate noise; however, extended periods will be spent on the factory floor exposed to very loud noise, sharp manufacturing components, heavy objects, automated robotics, moving machinery, forklift traffic, and electrical systems. Personal protective equipment will be provided and must be worn in the factory.
Physical Demands: are typical of an office environment; however, extended periods will be spent sitting at a computer workstation. Significant time will also be spent working on the factory floor requiring extended periods of standing, crouching, and light lifting. The employee is expected to spend time also working on the floor in order to gain a better understanding of our processes and to help document procedures.
