Accounting Support Specialist (Administrative)
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Researches and responds to accounts payable vendor inquiries.Researches vendor statements and recommends actions needed to accounts payable staff.Uploads and reconciles vendor invoices into accounting software.Performs administrative tasks such as sorting and distributing mail, as well as mailing accounts payable checks.Create and make various deposits.Perform account reconciliations as needed.Completes simple and complex calculations using spreadsheets and other software toolsOther duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:
High school requiredCandidate must possess an Associates degree in Accounting or in related field OR have a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
