Resident Engineer - Track + Transit (Finance)

To continue the growth of our Northeast Infrastructure + Mobility team, we're seeking a Resident Engineer (RE) to play a key role in providing and managing construction inspection services for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA).

Job Summary
With limited supervision, the RE will lead the team observing, monitoring, and recording construction contract work daily for compliance with the MBTA's safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives, as defined in the construction contract documents. As part of their leadership responsibilities, the RE will proactively address field issues that are elevated from the inspection team for resolution in a timely manner. The RE will review daily field reports recording the construction activities, manpower, equipment, materials, and quality and safety issues; and review and process contractor payment requisitions via the MBTA's Enterprise e-Builder system. The RE will also coordinate third party field inspection activities.
