Sr. Maintenance Technician (Maintenance) (Maintenance)
SUMMARY OF CLASSIFICATION:
This description summarizes the requirements of a Senior Maintenance Technician. Perform a wide variety of tasks, including repairs or adjustments on sophisticated and basic equipment. Perform general preventative maintenance on all equipment, including diagnose and repair robotic arc and spot welders, laser, turret & brake press, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalency.
Continued education, such as an associate degree in a related field and/or professional certification, is preferred.
Valid fork truck operators license or ability to acquire one within 30 days.
Must successfully complete Bloodborne Pathogen safety training, lockout tagout, confined space entry training courses within one year.
Job or specific customer certifications may be required.
Communication skills required.
Must be capable of working independently to perform all duties as outlined above.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift, carry, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 35 lbs. Employees also frequently bend, twist, and reach and may stand and/or walk up to 8-10 hours per day. Must have full use of hands and fingers. There can be times when this job requires walking, standing, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Job includes working in a manufacturing facility. Job could consist of running machinery or equipment. Must be capable of working independently to perform duties as outlined. Must demonstrate a good safety record and adherence to plant and departmental safety regulations.
