Cornell Pump is seeking a dynamic SE Regional Sales Manager to join our team who can foster and sustain client connections in the Southeast region. This is an exempt role. The annual base salary is $100,000 - $125,000 (DOE).

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
This role involves developing and executing a strategic plan for a specific territory to achieve growth targets such as assessing market conditions and competition to set realistic sales goals. You will collaborate with the Market Manager to create and nurture distribution channels. You will also coordinate technical training for distributors and end users, as well as consistently evaluate customer satisfaction, delivery efficiency, and pricing strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compiles a list of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, aged leads, business directories, internet websites, and other sources
Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services
Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales
Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers
Provides product demos (cutaways/display pumps) to qualified customers on request
Emphasizes salable features, quotes prices and credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained
Tracks stock levels
Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules
Coordinates customer training
Builds and maintains customer relationships
Prepares reports of business transactions
Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into a computer database
Works with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date
Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries
Travels to and attends trade shows
Coordinate activities at the offsite warehouse including ordering pumps and pump parts for inventory replacement and maintenance
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages from a manufacturer position contracted distributors and sales representatives
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with an emphasis on marketing or Engineering preferred
3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Track record of superior performance metrics
Excellent negotiation skills
Strong decision-making abilities
Rotating equipment experience preferred
Able to travel up to three weeks per month
