Night Shag Driver (Transportation)
We have a very active driving position that moves trailers around on our lot and backs into the loading dock using a semi-truck. In this role you will constantly being climbing in and out of the cab of a truck and hooking up to trailers. This position is responsible for maintaining a smooth and accurate flow of trailers to the docks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company policies and procedures. It requires using a shag truck to move semi-trailers and backing them into designated loading docks and parking areas, and assist in other duties as assigned. Will require frequently getting in and out of the truck to hook and unhook trailers as you back them into a dock and then park for the delivery drivers to pick up.
Work Hours:
- 4:30pm until end of shift, Sun - Thursday with a starting wage of $21/hr or $22/hr with a CDL.
Requirements:
- High school education or equivalency
- Ability to complete paperwork
- Good communication skills, typically done utilizing a radio
- Organizational skills
- Experience driving semi-trailers or other large vehicles is preferred; CDL is helpful, but not required
Physical & Environmental Aspects:
- It requires frequent climbing into and out of the shag truck.
- Work is performed outside and therefore requires working in extreme hot and cold temperatures.
