Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Edinburg, Texas
NEW CLINIC OPENING SUMMER 2025!
Medici Onsite & Health by Design is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our new clinic opening in Edinburg, Texas Summer 2025! This clinic will provide care to a rewarding and unique patient population which includes healthcare workers and dependents employed with a local healthcare system.
Our Providers work in a true "value-based" care model - With 30 minute and 1 hour appointment times, there is plenty of time to genuinely care for patients, which means improved compliance, better care coordination, healthier patients, and happier providers! It also means more time for charting and the limited administrative duties throughout the day, with nothing to take home at night. Our clinics offer unsurpassed support as well and are staffed with Registered Nurses! In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting routine check-ups, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, and providing comprehensive medical care. You'll also promote healthy habits, collaborate with healthcare teams, and stay updated with medical advancements to ensure high-quality patient treatment and well-being. Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. No late clinic, no weekends, NO CALL! This is truly an opportunity that offers a wonderful work/life balance!
Essential Job Functions:
Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients.
Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient's age-specific needs.
Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiological stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role.
Assists with the provision of surgical care in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
Monitors the effectiveness of interventions.
Facilitates the patient's transition within and between health care settings
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals
Facilitates staff, patient, and family decision making by providing educational tools.

Requirements:
Master's degree from an accredited nurse practitioner program
Current unrestricted Texas license
Minimum 1-2 years FNP experience
Current DEA Certificate
BLS
