Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) FT/PRN - Autism CSU (Healthcare)
Under broad supervision, provides a broad range of social services to patients/clients/consumers and their families. Conducts patient/client/consumer intakes, participates in treatment team planning, and performs crisis intervention. Assists in dealing with personal and social problems. May provide supportive counseling to consumers and families and/or serve as a liaison for social services. May perform case management duties. Performs lead worker functions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Delivers ABA therapy in a 1:1 or small group format in the Crisis Stabilization UnitAccurately implements skill acquisition programs, behavior reduction plans, behavior protocols, and/or behavior support plans.Maintains precise client progress records, which may include data sheets, graphs, daily notes, anecdotal information, etc.Accurately collects data (paper and/or electronically) on target behaviors specific to the clients Behavior Support Plan & Skill Acquisition ProgrammingMaintains detailed records of client progress and services performed.Completes timely and thorough session notes as expected.Maintains a safe, clean, stimulating, and fun environment for the client.Collaborates with professionals on the clients treatment team as needed regarding client updates, progress, behavioral concerns, etc.Implements ABA intervention in line with the BACB ethical guidelines.Participates in initial and ongoing staff trainings as assigned, as well as commit to continued learning and performance improvement.Reports changes in client condition to supervisorAssists with Activities of Daily Living (toileting, feeding, hygiene, etc.), when needed.Attends client specific meetings and trainings.Provides important information regarding the client to facilitate appropriate case management and collaboration.Maintains credential as a Registered Behavior Technician through the BACB.Actively participates in supervision with the BCBA.Participates in both individual and group supervision.Adheres to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) RBT Code of EthicsMust already possess the credential as an RBT.Functions and/or provides services with an awareness, sensitivity and understanding of cultural differences, similarities and abilities.Provides high quality customer service.
Additional Program Specific Job Duties:
Monitors clients during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.Assists with completing admissions for new arrivals.Prepares clients belongings upon discharge.Monitors and assist clients with ADLs as needed.Assists clients with scheduled phone calls.Maintains a safe environment, which includes conducting safety checks for new admissions and current clients.Implements chosen crisis curriculum procedures as necessary to maintain safety.Accurately follow unit protocols and proceduresMonitors and assist during unit visitation.If necessary, minimally organize the unit.Conducts room sweeps for contraband or dangerous items.Completes daily client observations sheets for assigned clients.Monitors general milieu.Assists with Receive and Evaluate client(s) as needed.Completes the daily 24-hour report to document the clients behaviors during the shift.Assists with ensuring levels of observation ratio and monitor 1:1 clients all day and ensure that they are never more than an arms-length away or without supervision. Transports clients if needed.Assists with the implementation of an individual Plan of Care for each assigned client.Must be able to work mornings, evenings, and/or weekends, as needed.Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Social Services related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of experience in a social services related field OR High school diploma or GED AND Three years of experience in a social services related position OR One year of experience at the lower level Social Svcs Tech 2 (SST011) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
BACB certified RBTAssociate degree or higher and/or enrolled in an undergraduate program in a related field.Two (2) years work experience providing social or direct care services to an individual or groups of individuals with special needs.Experience in ABA.Experience with severe challenging behaviors.Bilingual in Spanish.Is comfortable and proficient with collaborative & concurrent documentation.Experience in trauma-informed care, or trauma related interventions and skills.
Requirements/Competencies:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Requires long periods of sitting/standing.Must be able to respond quickly to sounds.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, move about, hear and speak.Must be able to pass physical requirements of MANDT training (i.e. - standing from knees without using hands, regular transitions from knees to standing, and perform holds).Must be able to restrain an individual over 100 pounds.Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
