Opportunity at a Glance
ACAMS Instructional Designer(s), working under the guidance of the Sr. Manager Instructional Design, is responsible for developing high-quality, engaging, and effective learning materials for ACAMS certification and certificate course products. This role involves transforming complex subject matter into learner-centered content tailored to meet the needs of professionals preparing for certifications and credentials. Collaborating closely with ACAMS Product Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Media Production, the Instructional Designer ensures all content aligns with defined learning objectives, audience needs, and business goals. The ideal candidate has experience with online learning design, understands audience learning levels, and is skilled in using content authoring tools to create impactful, interactive materials that enhance the learning experience.
Responsibilities
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, or a related field.
· 3+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably within the professional training, EdTech, or financial services sector, professional certification experience a plus
· Strong writing skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging instructional content optimized for learning.
· Proven ability to capture and convey Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) needed to support learner success within certification products.
· Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with SMEs to ensure accurate, high-quality content.
· Knowledge of content re-use strategies and collaboration with knowledge management resources to optimize content development.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
· Detail-oriented, proactive, and learner-focused, with a commitment to creating high-quality learning experiences.
· Must be a fluent English speaker, additional modern languages preferred
· Ability to work flexible (off)hours when working on deadlines and occasionally in line with other ACAMS regions' time zones
· Ability to travel if required
