The Job Details are as follows:
The Solutions Strategist is responsible for delivering product and service presentations, driving technical discussions and guidance to prospects evaluating their assigned products/services. The Solutions Strategist plays a key role on the field sales team to build strategies and develop strong technical relationships within target institutions. They have the responsibility to travel on-site to institutions throughout North America. The Solutions Strategist uses their technical expertise and institutional knowledge to develop OCLC solutions to meet prospective customer requirements.Responsibilities
· Serve as the expert for their assigned products/services within the Sales for the Americas division.
· Develop technical sales strategy in collaboration with Field Sales team.
· Work closely with platform Product Team to understand all aspects of the product and service.
· Communicate enhancement and new product requirements to the Product team.
· Travel with Field Sales to prospective institutions to provide technical and product demonstrations.
· Provide strategic direction related to technology platforms during sales territory planning.
· Provide demonstration support during final stages of the sales cycle.
· Act as key contact for functional and technical questions related to each stage of the sales process.
· Represent OCLC during industry trade shows.
· Assist with RFP/RFI responses.
· Travel to key prospective libraries and industry trade shows and company meetings.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, library sciences, or related experience.
· Minimum of three years in either: Sales support for library systems or Management position in technical services section of a library
· Understand programming and/or scripting languages used for their products and/or services.
· Initiative and the ability to identity new and innovative configurations.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to present/speak in public settings.
· 50% travel may be required.
