SA Works Camp Counselor Intern (Finance)

Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:30pm

Primary Purpose:
Person will provide assistant to programming staff during Camp Wesley program at designated location. This camp provides organized team and individual health and wellness activities for children.
Essential Duties:
• Provide assistance to Recreation & Enrichment program staff.
• Follow guidelines, policies, and procedures, established by organization, codes of conduct, dress, and decorum
• Provide assistance for camp staff and all group and camp wide activities and events.
• Complete all necessary safety training to include: (first aide, CPR, Child protection training, food handling, etc.)
• Assist with keeping track of group lists and activity schedules.
• Participate in staff meetings.
• Assist with the supervision of campers to ensure that health and safety remain a priority.
• Initiate and maintain a sound working relationship with other camp personnel.
• Eat meals with campers and encourage healthy eating and exercise habits.
• Supports distribution of programming resources.
• Cheerfully comply with unanticipated assignments and remain flexible for contingency plans. Other work as assigned by Program Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
High school student. Must have a profile with SA Works website at www.sanantonioworks.org to be considered.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to provide customer service and have communication skills. Ability to interact with team members and end-users.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates and Licenses:

Computer Skills:
Demonstrates working knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel applications.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is exposed to a medical office environment. Position necessitates bending, stooping, twisting, turning, walking, climbing step stools, sitting and standing for periods of time. Must be able to lift and maneuver 25 pounds.
