Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field, from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in metallurgy or engineering is preferred.
• Experience of Aerospace forging using titanium and/or nickel based super alloys and strong working knowledge of Quality systems and specifications is preferred.
Language Skills
• Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Make effective presentations on controversial or complex topics to internal and external parties.
Reasoning Ability
• Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

Pay
$75,000 - $90,000/ year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status.
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Primary technical contact for applicable customers.
• Develop, modify, improve, and troubleshoot the processes associated with the production of seamless rolled rings and other open-die forgings.
• Metallurgical failure analysis and disposition for applicable customers, including generation of non-dimensional concessions for customer review.
• Own new part introduction (NPI) process for applicable customers, including final review of qualification packages prior to customer review.
• Perform various Metallurgy Department projects including planning, organizing data collection, and presentation.
• Initiate and control cost reduction projects to achieve targets established by Supervisor.
• Release hardware for production utilizing processes that are designed to meet or exceed customer technical (metallurgical and quality) requirements as specified on purchase orders, blueprints, specifications or other related documents.
• Review of new and revised technical (material, process, quality, etc.) specifications, as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
