Engineering Intern (Finance)

The Babcock & Wilcox Company (B&W) is a leader in energy and environmental products and services for power and industrial markets worldwide. Our headquarters in Akron, Ohio is currently seeking an Intern/Co-op to join our Lancaster Operations team out of the Lancaster, Ohio facility. The internship will provide educational , hands-on experience to students pursuing careers in engineering under the guidance of the District Service Manager, Field Engineering Services.

This is a Spring/Summ er 202 5 intern/co-op position. The selected candidate must commit to working full-time ( 32 - 40 hours/week) during the summer.

• Reading and interpreting assembly drawing s , general arrangement drawings, and piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) drawings.
• Shadowing senior engineers to learn more about our products.
• Providing insight and solutions to solve problems for customers.
• Assisting with customer proposals and projects.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited two or four-year program, working towards an Engineering degree
• Current GPA of 3.0 or higher, preferred
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Proficiency in at least one Object Oriented language is preferred
• Capacity to handle confidential information
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
