Sr Integration Architect (Information Technology)

We are looking for a Senior Integration Architect to work with the National Integration Services team who is focused on enabling a distributed and scalable API Management Platform for the Federal Reserve System.
To be successful in this role, you must have stellar leadership and communication skills, with an excellent background in API Development and management environments. You will need to learn new technologies and complex applications very quickly and manage numerous technical requirements. Work with LOBs to enable, architect, implement, and support APIs.
Define reusable solution patterns and review with architectural review boards.
Work with LOBs to implement data and application security best practices.
Help install, configure, and support MuleSoft, AWS API Gateway.
Implement auth and authz mechanisms (eg: OAuth, JWT, API keys). Enforce optimal security policies.
Establish guidelines for API versioning, security and standardization.
Be a key player and contribute to system initiatives to help bring about the cultural and organizational change needed for the inception of an FRS Microservices Exchange (enterprise asset reuse and interoperability)
Assist in the evaluation of overall risk for IT systems and the data they contain and process, accounting for the people, processes, and technologies that provide security controls.
Maintain an expert knowledge in the field of Information Security and the related issues, systems, processes, products, and services to extend the organizations ability to optimize use of emerging technologies.
Building strong cross-organizational relationships and effectively influencing staff across the IT organization and broader FRS.
Evaluate and assess risk as part of the life-cycle analysis.
Create and maintain enterprise security standards applicable to all technologies in the group portfolio.
Management of customer satisfaction, best practices and benchmarking.
Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Systems Analysis or equivalent work experience.
7+ years of experience with all aspects of a project from design through development, testing, implementation, and production with extensive technical breadth through experience in the IT industry
Practical experience and knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture, Microservice Architecture, Microservices, and API Gateways, with at least one of the following technologies: MuleSoft, Apigee Edge, AWS API Gateway, Kong and NGINX.
Proven experience in working collaboratively, coordinating among cross-functional teams and the ability to effectively work with organizational differences and priorities; consistently provide a clear and consistent technical vision to advance project goals
Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and analytical skills; strong and demonstrated interpersonal skills to include influence, negotiation, collaboration and diplomacy
Expert in architectural visualizations.
Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card holder with the intent to become a U.S. Citizen
Languages / protocols: - Experienced with HTML, JavaScript, SQL, LDAP, web services (SOAP, REST) , Java, Python, Terraform.
Strong understanding of IDP's and Active Directory
Demonstrated ability to integrate various security & data protection technologies and controls into a cohesive architecture that sufficiently mitigates risk to the enterprise.
Deep technical understanding of and experience with security technologies including, but not limited to, intrusion detection/prevention, event correlation, firewall, antivirus, anti-spam, policy enforcement, patch/configuration management, audit, secure application development, etc.
Thorough understanding of the security controls provided in common platforms and applications including, but not limited to: Unix, Linux, Windows, IBM Mainframe (zTPF, MVS), Oracle, MS SQL Server, Microsoft Outlook, J2EE and .NET applications, etc.
Familiarity with hosted and cloud services and the related security implications and control approaches.
Experience with applicable control frameworks and compliance mandates.
Executive presence; highly effective communicator; well-honed influencing and negotiating skills.
Solid problem solving and analytical skills; able to quickly digest any issue/problem encountered and recommend an appropriate solution.
Base Salary Range for Sr, Product Manager: Min: $142,800 - Mid: $185,500 - Max: $228,100 (Location: San Francisco)
Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
