Manufacturing Planning Assistant (Manufacturing)

About this role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Manufacturing Planning Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the planning & production scheduling process, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with Scheduling: Support the production scheduler in creating and maintaining production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
• Assist with Planning:  Support the planning function by creating & editing plan levels within the ERP system.
• Data Management: Input and update production data in scheduling software and databases, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Coordination: Collaborate with various departments, including production, logistics, and inventory, to gather necessary information for scheduling.
• Monitoring Progress: Track production progress and report any delays or issues to the production scheduler, facilitating timely resolutions.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain documentation related to production schedules, including reports and status updates for management.
• Inventory Support: Assist in monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with the supply chain team to ensure materials are available for production.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling efficiency and workflow.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in business, operations management, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience: Previous experience working in production scheduling/planning is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), Oracle ERP and familiarity with production scheduling software.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  
  
  Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual team members. Salary range for this role is $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 on an annual basis.
