Job Description
Silicon Valley Bank's Global Fund Banking team provides commercial banking services to venture capital and private equity funds globally. The team is responsible for the collection and capture of information on institutions and individuals that represent the financial collateral for the loans we provide. This position will perform the shadow accounting and record keeping for remaining callable capital on the funds that we bank.
Duties include monitoring emails for capital call notices from clients, matching them against expected capital call notices and performing transactions in our database to update remaining callable capital.
Additionally, this position will perform periodic wire reconciliations on capital calls to ensure all Limited Partners are fulfilling their commitment to the funds. The collateral analysis will interact with deal teams when missing capital call notices or wires are identified. They will also interact with the Portfolio Management Analysts when advances are held up due to missing capital call notices. There will be other collateral diligence projects assigned
Candidates must be able to work and think independently. Strong organizational and time management skills are key, as multi-tasking is essential to monitor and engage with many moving parts.
Experience reconciling, balancing numbers and attention to detail is also extremely important. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint online and excel is essential.
Collateral analysts must have 1-3 years' experience working in a digital record keeping position. Commercial banking experience is a plus.
