If so, we want to speak with you! We are currently seeking a Senior Legal Analyst - Political Law to join our Law Department's Political Law & Ethics Compliance Program team based in Washington, D.C. We are open to remote work arrangements anywhere in the US. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to prepare political law compliance reports disclosing Altria's government affairs activities for jurisdictions across the U.S. What you will be doing: • Prepare and file lobbying and campaign finance registrations and reports for assigned state and local jurisdictions, including coordinating with the State Government Affairs team to review registrations and reports prior to submission to state regulatory agencies. • Utilize company databases to obtain data regarding political contributions, lobbying expenditures, gifts to government officials, and charitable contributions needed for compliance filings. • Assist with legal support of AltriaPAC, including reviewing PAC communications and draft reports and providing advice on PAC fundraising activities. • Assist with internal and external political law training programs and other engagements related to Altria's Political Law & Ethics Compliance Program. • Consult with attorneys and legal professionals across the Law Department on all relevant matters. • Assist with other duties as assigned. What we want you to have: • An Associates or Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of three years' experience in a law firm, corporate/non-profit law department or other corporate/non-profit environment. • At least one year of experience in political law as a political reports analyst or similar political law paralegal position, with demonstrated experience with filing lobbying and campaign finance reports in multiple jurisdictions. • A legal background with strong familiarity with corporate political law compliance and government. Legislative experience is also highly desirable. • Strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple time-sensitive projects at once. • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills. • Advanced computer skills, particularly with Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn new compliance systems and tools. • Ability to interact at all levels within and outside of the company. • Ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and make decisions in the absence of management. • May require 15-20% travel. Total Rewards The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions.
