Overview
The Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader is a leader in the department responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of an engineering team and their ability to complete their projects/tasks.
Responsibilities
- Teach/mentor team members about processes/systems
- Provide technical and non-technical direction for projects/tasks
- Identify ways to expedite projects and avoid historical mistakes
- Monitor and report project progress, delays, and completions
- Give input on project resource estimates and current team resource allocation
- Identify and communicate training and developmental needs for team members
- Provide direct and frequent positive and constructive feedback on performance and improvement areas for team members
- Review and approve team member documentation and expense reports
- Communicate with other departments to identify and troubleshoot project issues
- Provide feedback to management on areas for improvement from a systems and personnel standpoint
- Work closely with other functions to define projects and objectives when applicable
- Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
- Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
- Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations
- Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.

Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Engineering with minimum overall experience of 4 years
- Proven project management skills
- Strong technical writer
- Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
- Works under general office environmental conditions.
- Sitting for extended periods, utilizing close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.
- Experience recording and analyzing data and clearly expressing conclusions and recommendations in writing.
