Licensed, Behavioral Health Clinician (Team Lead) - APEX - Gwinnett Co. (Healthcare)

Division/Department/Program: The Georgia APEX Project
The Georgia Apex Project, an initiative from the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is a pilot initiative to increase provision of School Base Mental Health (SBMH) services throughout the state. SBMH programs provide a continuity of mental health services to students and their families in the school setting. By placing mental health professionals in schools, SBMH programs increase access to needed mental health services, promote earlier identification of and intervention for mental health needs, and foster collaboration between mental health providers, school systems, and other community stakeholders.
Duties& Responsibilities:
Continue with all the responsibilities as a clinician with billable activities 10-15 hours per week
(Including diagnostics)
Administrative supervision (continue education and trainings for supervisees, billable hours, 24 hr. documentation, chart audit, failed claim/activities, insurance authorization)
Visit the supervisee(s) at their assigned schools as needed to assist with coordination of program activities of supervisees' schools.
Assist on planning and developing ongoing APEX program.
2nd signature on Carelogic (orders, notes, auth requests)
HR relations (PTO, certifications, punch-in/out)
Assist supervisees when there are struggles with school staff (if necessary, talk with school
Prepare/run bi- weekly or monthly team group meetings.
Assist supervisees when there are struggles with school staff (if necessary, talk with school administrators)
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a mental health, social work, or a closely related field AND Fully Licensed (LPC, LCSW or LMFT) AND Two years of related post-license experience OR master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure in area of assignment AND Two years of experience at the lower-level Social Worker, Licensed 2 (HCP051) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge and experience with APEX services
Working knowledge with Carelogic
Strong leadership skills
Excellent performance record as a clinician - billable, notes, auth request, school activities
Requirements/Competencies:
Master's degree in a mental health, social work, or a closely related field AND Fully Licensed (LPC, LCSW or LMFT)
Must work well under pressure and act as problem solver and team.
Must be computer literate on Microsoft Office, Excel, Access and Windows applications.
Must have excellent human relations skills, having dealt with a variety of customers and employees.
Submissions to a fingerprint criminal background check whose results allow employment with the organization.
Submission to a pre-employment drug screen.
Must understand and be willing to adhere to all team member policies, procedures, and processes included in the Team.
Handbook and the Patient's Right Handbook.
Must have full insurance coverage on the vehicle used to work.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.
Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities
Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
