INSPECTION TECHNICIAN
Job Summary:
The Inspection Helper will assist job Foreman and crew with various duties associated with inspection of steel structures.
Job Duties:
Assists with staging equipment Assists with operations of drone equipment Takes photos of structures Takes thickness readings for steel structures Document work as needed Climb and inspect towers for defects, safety, and code violations The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older Must be comfortable with working in high places Ability to follow safety policies and procedures Works well with a team Able to drive a company vehicle safely to field sites Possesses strong problem-solving skills Manages time effectively Detail-oriented Must be willing to travel 4 to 5 weeks at a time across the country Ability to lift 40lbs on regular basis Ability to pass OSHA 10. Ability to pass CPR/First Aid. Ability to pass RF Awareness. Ability to pass Tower Climbing Certifications including Tower Rescue (Comtrain) Comfortable with climbing heights up to 2000 Valid driver's license and pass insurance requirements to drive a company vehicle.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
