CNC Operator II (Manufacturing)
Job Summary
Jabil is a precision machining facility with over 45 years of operating expertise in manufacturing and concept producibility and engineering support. We specialize in aerospace products, turbine engine components, rapid prototyping, and industrial pumps, but our capabilities are applicable to any industry that requires precision machined parts. The machinist position will set up and operate various CNC machine tools including multi-axis mills or lathes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate CNC mills and lathes
Utilize inspection equipment to check accuracy of work, in accordance with blueprint specifications
Complete all job-related paperwork, accurately, per requirements
Maintain equipment and work area on a daily basis in a clean and orderly condition
Follow prescribed work rules and standard safety regulations at all times
Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
Coordinate with supervisor and other team members to meet production schedule demands
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Perform other related duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Secondary School, Technical Certificate, or Degree preferred
Basic computer and data entry skills
Basic shop math skills
Familiarity with CNC operation
Manual machining experience a plus
Able to read job instructions and blueprints
Strong attention to detail
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Physical Requirements /Work Environment
Physical ability to operate machines. Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to access all parts of the machine.
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and stretching
Must be able to lift 35 pounds at a time
Must be able to work in noisy environments (at times)
This position requires use of information which is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The hourly pay range for this role is $15.38 - $27.69. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
