Payroll/ HRIS Supervisor (Administrative)
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration:
o Process semi-monthly and weekly payroll, ensuring accurate deductions, garnishments, and taxes.
o Upload ACH files to the bank for payroll disbursement.
o Manage employee payroll inquiries and troubleshoot any issues or discrepancies.
o Monthly, Quarterly, Annual tax reporting.
HRIS Data Management:
o Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems (UKG Ready, UKG Payroll Services, etc.).
o Onboard new hires, including data entry, document management, and system integration.
o Assist with system troubleshooting and resolving issues in HRIS platforms and escalate to UKG as necessary.
Unemployment Claims & State Taxes:
o Manage unemployment claims and reports for multiple states, including South Carolina, Indiana, and Tennessee.
o Administer state payroll taxes and unemployment taxes for different locations.
Reporting & Compliance:
o Ensure payroll processes comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, including tax laws, benefits, and employment legislation.
o Assist with audits related to payroll, benefits, and HRIS data as required.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in payroll processing and HRIS administration. Experience in HR analytics is a plus.
Proficient in HRIS systems (experience with UKG or similar platforms is a plus).
Knowledge of payroll processing, taxes, garnishments, and compliance.
Familiarity with state unemployment and wage tax regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for reporting and data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience working with UKG or similar HRIS/payroll systems, Payroll Services, Recruiting, and Onboarding modules.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of benefits administration, including open enrollment and benefits reporting.
