Senior Instructional & Curriculum Designer, Human Resources - Lakeland (Education)
The Senior Instructional and Curriculum Designer consults and collaborates with Publix business areas to identify and drive desired behaviors and ensures the execution of the company's strategic vision through the use of reference, training, and programs. Additional responsibilities include:
manages training program curricula; business and program alignment, maintenance, and evaluation of program curriculum
leads, defines, and conducts performance or training needs analysis
plans, manages, and coordinates project teams, schedules, and reference and training deliverables for complex training programs and projects
designs and oversees the development of educationally sound training solutions
measures the success of training deliverables and business operations strategy effectiveness
Bachelor's Degree in English, Technical Writing, Instructional Technology, Adult Learning, or Instructional Design Psychology with an emphasis or concentration in Industrial Psychology or Organizational Management, Digital Communication or other Communications degrees, or other analytical area or equivalent work experience
at least two (2) years of experience in analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of blended-adult learning training programs
at least two (2) years of experience using authoring tools; Captivate, Storyline, or Articulate
at least two (2) years of experience managing project teams and project implementation oversight
at least (1) year of experience managing a total employee training program, preferably in a retail, service, food service, or hospitality environment
knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models
strong project management skills
exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
strong negation skills with the ability to influence others
knowledge of web standards, best practices, and browser capability across different environments
excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
intermediate knowledge of MS Office 365, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Creative Cloud and Articulate Storyline
basic knowledge of MS Office Outlook, Project, Excel, SharePoint, and Scripting/ programming languages
willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Master's Degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, or Adult Learning
five (5) or more years of experience in analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of blended-adult learning training programs
five (5) or more years of experience using authoring tools; Captivate, Storyline, or Articulate
five (5) or more years of experience managing project teams and project management oversight
five (5) or more years of experience managing a total employee training program, preferably in a retail or service environment
five (5) or more years of experience in providing performance improvement consulting services to an internal customer
three (3) or more years of experience working with training analytics and training evaluation and measurement data
three (3) or more years of experience working in ETD as an Instructional Content Developer
Information Mapping Certification
Instructional Design, Performance Improvement or Human Performance Improvement certifications, e.g, CPLP certification
Project Management training or certification
knowledge of Publix's business strategy
strong business acumen (understanding of the grocery business, such as competitors, as well as Publix-specific business practices and processes)
strong knowledge of change management concepts and approaches
strong knowledge of Publix audiences, structure, and support department and their specific strategy maps
solid knowledge of Information Mapping
intermediate knowledge of Learning Management System
intermediate knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
advanced knowledge of MS Project, Office 365, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Creative Cloud and Articulate Storyline
