Anesthesia Technician (Healthcare)
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.Maintain inventory levels of anesthesia equipment and supplies, including anesthesia carts, emergency airway carts, and the anesthesia supply areas.Prepare anesthesia supplies and anesthesia equipment.Assist in transporting patients and equipment as needed.Participate in ongoing educational and competency verification activities applicable to anesthesia technician activities.Support patient care for the population served.Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:
High school diploma, or GED, or 5 years concurrent experience as an anesthesia tech required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, requiredTwo years anesthesia technician experience, requiredCertified anesthesia technician (Cer.A.T.) or equivalent certification, preferredComputer skills (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel), preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

Must interact and communicate both verbally and in written form.Must interact and exchange information regarding patients with physicians and other departmental personnel, and outside agencies on a frequent basis while respecting the confidentiality of patient information.
