Position Summary
The Contracts Specialist will support the companies contracting process to ensure quick, thorough, and consistent review, modification, and execution of contracts with the appropriate company protections and sufficient detail to eliminate ambiguity in interpretation of contract terms and deliverables, requiring the requesting and entering information regarding contract information, bonds, warranties, and customer documentation, specializing in IRA provisions. This position will also directly follow up with customers and other internal departments under supervision.
Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)
Using construction experience, read, compare, red-line, and interpret sales contracts for self-install projects to ensure contract supports and benefits Terrasmart's strategic advantage while complying with all IRA provisions, and amplify information to senior leaders when identifying potentially cumbersome or other provisions likely to impact performance or margin. Review, edit and negotiate contract templates, terms, and work closely with sales team to resolve key terms and risks.
Reviews nationwide temporary labor and staffing agency contracts, including the development of an identified potential vendor/contractor list, sourcing quotes or information, supporting the negotiation of terms of labor contracts, overall cost, margins and budgeting, travel arrangements, OSHA compliance, temp worker training and safety regulation adherence, to allow for labor options beneficial to internal construction and manufacturing departments.
Supports the reviews and negotiations of tool and machinery vendor contracts and selection.
Assist with the organization and tracking of all contracts.
Work closely with risk management on all contract information for bond applications, warranties, Certificates of Insurance, claims, IP's, Patents, etc.
Coordinate critical dates and follow-up to ensure contract compliance.
Assist project team with project closeout documentation process, the project change order process, and other project processes as needed.
Assist administrative team with AR collections and maintain project lien filings.
Understand the scope of work and schedule deadlines for each project.
Conduct contract postmortems to identify opportunities to improve and streamline future contracts.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, basic accounting, data entry, and more.
Work on special projects as requested.
Complete all required or directed training, certification, licensing, and other learning and development as assigned.
Abide by all Federal, State, and local laws; uphold and maintain accountability to all Company policy.
All other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications

Education / Experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience required to successfully complete the primary accountabilities is indicated below)
Associate Degree in Construction, Paralegal, Law, Business Administration or Related
5 Years of Experience in Construction Contract Administration
3 Years of Experience in Construction Contracting (Solar Construction preferred)

Work Environment
We have 1 position available that can sit in either Fort Myers FL or Cincinnati OH. Only candidates who currently live within a commutable distance to one of these offices will be considered for this opportunity.
