Sr. Controls Technician (Finance)
Job Purpose:
The Site Senior Controls Technician's primary responsibility is the preservation of the site control systems for automating manufacturing processes and wrapping systems. They are accountable to ensure delivery and support for all Factory Controls & IT related Systems, following applicable Global/Regional Standards. Key concepts of the role include, but are not limited to, developing control concepts, program design, coding, implementation, instrumentation selection and operator interface development.

Minimum Requirements:
• Must have line manager approval to apply, for internal candidates
• No final written warnings
• High School Diploma or GED 2 year
• Technical Degree (Electrical/Electronic/Controls/Automation) OR 5+ years Factory Controls and/or manufacturing IT experience including production system troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Must be able to work independently on live electrical panels for troubleshooting, no live work
• Knowledge of Server Administration, Virtual Infrastructure Administration, Cisco Equipment Architecture, Database Administration knowledge and SQL and/or VBA
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel
Physical Requirements:
• Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
• Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods.
• Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Controls/Automation) or Computer Science
• 6+ years of Factory Controls and/or manufacturing IT experience
• Operational Electrical Qualification Certificate
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
Support the system management and administrative functions for PC and PLC networks, data historians, software version control and web-based data systems. This includes maintenance, enhancements, procedures development, advanced troubleshooting and assisting with engineering projects.
• Responsible for the Factory Controls & IT Infrastructure including PC's, servers, thin clients, network and machine automation.
•Responsibilities include the technical development of the Maintenance and Line Coverage Technicians. Additionally, the Senior Controls Technician helps direct the modification and installation of control systems utilizing the Change Control process; transfers knowledge of control systems and electrical projects.
• Responsibilities include supporting site, regional and global Capital projects by helping to lead/execute the implementation of projects.
• Supervise the work activities of outside contractors, controls technicians, and other associates related to the functions of the role.
• Communicate with other department personnel related to equipment functionality, programming, and problem resolution.
• Demonstrate the ability to analyze, design, program, and test applications for Factory Control & IT systems.
