Plant Assistant Manager (Biotech)

Inventory:
Enforce and execute security plans daily to minimize inventory loss.Work with V.P. of Sales and Marketing to improve inventory turnover by utilizing the plant projections worksheet provided by V.P. of Sales and MarketingResponsible for accurate and reliable physical inventory records
MonthlyBi-annual (minimum 2x to 3x a year)
EQUIPMENT:
Trailers All trailers should be unloaded within 10 days of receiving. All exceptions and reasons should be reported on the Quality Receiving Form.Plant Equipment Preventive maintenance and Calibration of the plant equipment is the responsibility of the plant manager.
TRAINING:
Training should be completed with all new employees and temporary labor according to the training matrixTraining should be completed on all current employees Shapiro or temporary to ensure training is currentAll training should be verified within 30 days of being completedAll training should be documented in accordance with the Training Procedure
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or other top management personnelResponsible for reviewing key metrics provided monthly by corporate, and recommending any changes or improvements.Responsible for the recommendation of changes to SSC work instructions and procedures to improve the efficiency of plant operations.Responsible for determining key metrics to measure equipment, inventory, and plant personnel to recommend changes and improvements in plant operations.Evaluate vendors and follow purchasing procedureAny and other job duties as assigned by his immediate Supervisor/Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Metallurgy or Metallurgical Engineering
Minimum Five years of experience working in a supervisory capacity.
Knowledge of metals a plus.
Ability to efficiently schedule and organize plant personnel and equipment.
