Health Clerk (Biotech)
Assists Health Services Manager with implementing and evaluating the goals of health services to ensure that the program meets Head Start Program Performance Standards, Missouri state licensing regulations, and local agency requirements and agency policies.
Ensure that children are screened for potential health problems that may impair physical and/or cognitive growth.
Maintain electronic health records on all enrolled children and prospective enrollees to provide documentation on the health status of every child utilizing the Child Plus Database System in compliance with state, federal, and agency policies and regulations.
Perform non-invasive screenings (hearing, vision, blood pressure, growth assessments) for enrolled children as directed by the Health Services Manager.
Responsible for attending all on-site provider visits to ensure the safety and well-being of children enrolled in the program.
Responsible for entering, monitoring, and tracking all follow-up care and treatment for enrolled children.
Formal Education/Experience:
High School Education or GED
CNA or MA preferred
Three to five years' experience in a school setting and/or Head Start program
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Head Start Program Performance Standards, Missouri licensing requirements related to child health, and Head Start operating policies and procedures related to health and nutrition services preferred.
Knowledge with Microsoft Office products, Adobe, scanning and attaching documents.
Ability to input data accurately into the Child Plus Database system, retrieve and analyze reports.
Exhibit exceptional customer service skills with staff, parents, program participants and other staff.
Ability to organize and execute multiple tasks with ease.
