Preprint 2nd Pressman (Finance)
Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties, however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and performs job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirements.
- Determine the best manufacturing method to produce product efficiently and effectively.
- Assist with set-ups and operation of the printing press.
- Maintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment.
- Troubleshoot and make decisions regarding the quality of finished product.
- Complete required quality inspections and paperwork.
- Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance.
- Contribute to overtime needs to meet customer demands.
- Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned press and surrounding area.
- Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements.
- Actively participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Become certified as back-up operator (must start training with operator by 6 months in position and complete training checklist by 12 months in position)
- Act as Operator during vacations, leave of absences, etc., on all shifts as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
