The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
The Annuities Product Pricing team is excited to post a leadership role, Annuity Pricing Director. The Annuity Pricing team is responsible for executing crediting rate actions across the entire individual annuity suite of products employing product management levers to meet risk/return objectives. The team is also responsible for developing and implementing strategies to balance profit targets with sales goals while considering impacts to customer experiences.
The Annuity Pricing Director leads a team of 7 and reports to the Annuity Product Pricing VP. This is a visible role, with opportunities to interact with senior leaders across the annuities business and to influence decision-making.
What you can expect:
The Annuity Pricing Director will be responsible for:
• Collaborating with stakeholders to propose price levels that achieve stated pricing targets, using various management levers
• Securing necessary approvals for pricing updates
• Ensuring recommendations are accurate and adhere to regulatory frameworks
• Monitoring emerging profitability and reporting results to Finance and Business leaders
• Proactively evaluating, recommending, and implementing management action solutions (e.g., asset strategies, reinsurance, hedging) to meet business objectives
• Implementing, understanding, and communicating assumption & methodology changes
• Advising business partners on risks and tradeoffs associated with proposed business strategies
What you'll need:

• Strong project management skills with proven ability to prioritize and lead execution of multiple tasks coupled with a high degree of curiosity on current processes and systems
• Continuous Improvement mindset with desire to inspire and lead team through change
• Passion for challenging status quo delivering creative yet practical solutions to complex problems
• Ability to partner with and influence peers and leaders across business and corporate functions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially the ability to communicate complex technical subject matter to various audiences
• Experience leading a team is preferred
• Actuarial designation (CERA, ASA, FSA) is required
Open to remote/virtual location outside of commutable Newark, NJ location.
