Logistics Technician
POSITION SUMMARY
Perform the daily activities for a high-quality, low-cost, on-time shipping team.
Be a team member that fully shares in the continuous improvement of the distribution team.
Maintain a constant flow of communication and information to the Distribution team and RST team regarding the warehouse and customer needs.
Responsible for safety, development, training, shipping, customer satisfaction, and finished goods inventory accuracy.
THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
General understanding of distribution functions. (warehouse layout, picking list, material flow, FIFO, Inspect trailers, and shipping.)
Ensure good housekeeping and organization in shipping
Compliance with all safe work practices
Identify opportunities to promote continuous warehouse improvements
Attend Rep Role meetings and team meetings
Work with the Distribution/ Distributor Relations and other teams to accomplish a pacific task
Pick and ship UPS, Truck Loads, and LTL shipments.
Generate Bill of Lading, Packing List, and Customs Invoice Papers from SOP
Data entry
Communicate with appropriate team members.
Analyze and implement an action plan to resolve customer complaints.
Perform Rep role responsibilities
Participate in team performance reviews
Actively confront and resolve behaviors and conditions in a timely manner
Operate Lift Truck ( Clamp & Fork)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- High School or GED required
EXPERIENCE:
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Logistics process knowledge
- Knowledge of logistics processes

- Assist with routine issues with Support Equipment. i.e vertical balers and carts,
- Operate and Understand functions of the Balers
- Able to work in various department in the Logistic area when needed.
- Cover Vacations and call-ins.
- Ability to work under Minimal supervision. As well as identify things that need to be corrected and fix without supervisor direction.
- Ability to communicate issues in Daily Shift exchange meeting.
- Attention to Details.
- Operate mobile Equipment I.E. Lift Truck, Recycle Carts.
- Ability to innovate Self/Recycle area
