Recruiter (Finance)
Serves as an internal partner/consultant to hiring managers and works to find candidates to fill approved, open positions with highly skilled, effective employees. This is achieved by partnering with those managers in order to provide viable candidates gained from a variety of sources, to include cold calls, industry research, and job postings.
Essential Position Responsibilities - This is a Salary Exempt position.
Sources and recruits candidates for assigned disciplines. Prepares internal and external job advertisements for positions that have an approved job requisition and posts on appropriate job-related sites to include public job search engines, hard copy posted ads, and local and regional printed and/or on-line publications. Tracks applicants for open positions. Screens applicants and performs interviews in person and/or by phone. Works with hiring managers to determine which applicants will fit best within the culture and relative environment of Simmons. Conducts work-related reference checks and background screening.
Maintains job folders documenting the hiring process. Assembles and maintains job folder documentation for each position including personnel requisitions and approvals. Dispositions all applicants and ensures all information is given to the Talent Acquisition Coordinator for applicant tracking.
Develop and maintain external relationships. Maintain a network of external relationships to include search agencies, industry associations, newspapers, etc. to source for available candidates (or to expedite the process of advertising for candidates).
Candidate development. Responsible for evaluating resumes, screening candidates and making recommendations for interviews for professional, technical, and leadership positions within the company. Recommends the use of testing, background checks, and other tools to ensure most viable candidates are presented to hiring managers.
Internal consultant . Work as an internal consultant with appropriate hiring managers in areas of recruiting; interviewing; and hiring. Provides internal clients with guidance relative to behavioral interviewing; references; salary negotiation; relocation; hiring policies; and other areas relative to the hiring process. Discuss options as to utilization of outside agencies. Prepare recruiting reports as requested.
Create and facilitate candidate correspondence. Personally contacts all candidates screened and interviewed and provides a personal update as to the status of their candidacy.
Participates as a member of the Team . Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities: Enters and locates information on a computer. Visually verifies information, often in small print. Communicates with Customers, Vendors, or Employees via telephone, in person, and/or electronic mail. May present information to small or large groups. Must be able to work in various temperatures. Move about in a manufacturing environment and surrounding property. May travel via car or plane to various recruiting events.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): As required by visiting facility.
Travel: Up to 10% travel domestically to and from multiple facilities or work-sites, possibly requiring overnight stays.
Technical Experience: 3-5 years required recruiting experience. Solid knowledge of the recruiting and staffing function. Good relationships with external agencies for temporary or placement assistance. Interviews well utilizing Lominger Behavioral Based Interview techniques. Creates a positive image for Simmons Foods, Inc. with each applicant and internal clients.

Minimum Education : Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Marketing, Communication or related degrees or 4 years related work experience
