Corporate Counsel (Legal)

JOB SUMMARY

Supporting senior members of the Legal Team in support of Jabil's Procurement and Supply Chain Services Business Unit.  Primary area of focus will be review and redlining of new commercial contracts.  Secondary area of focus will be abstraction of key contract terms in connection with M&A due diligence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience reviewing and redlining contracts based on approved risk profiles.
  • Ability to work independently, professional presence, ability to identify and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Work on projects of increasing complexity, advising clients as required under supervision of Assistant General Counsels.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initially reports to VP, Legal Operations, with expectation to transition to reporting to Assistant General Counsel.
  • Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Good oral and written communication, good judgement, strong interpersonal skills, demonstrate ability to work in a changing, fast paced, and energetic environment.
  • Strong work ethic, motivated and self-starter, ability to resolve conflict, business acumen with business-oriented approach to problem solving, ability to prioritize and manage competing demands

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3-5 years of legal experience or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
  • Graduate of an ABA or foreign equivalent law school, member of a bar in good standing, eligible to practice law in Florida.

Amenable to attending team calls with business counterparts based in Singapore and Europe outside of standard US business hours.
