NGL Transportation Business Analyst (Finance)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The NGL Business Analyst will be responsible for monitoring the execution and performance of NGL rail, supply and marketing activities for the North America Supply business (NA Supply). This job requires frequent interaction with external customers, suppliers, marketers, schedulers, dispatchers and in-house Accounting, Credit and Contract personnel to ensure that all sales and purchase deals are being executed timely and accurately. The Analyst will also be responsible for processing and monitoring detailed shipment transaction information for all contracts.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Contract performance management with trade partners and internal resources
· Entering and updating deals – obtain Director review/approval
· Rail and Truck ticket validation
· Maintain/update Hub pricing reports
· Update and monitor railcar tracing reports and related spreadsheets
· Work with Contract Administration to align and execute standalone agreements and in-house deals between other Targa business units
· Work with team to manage Best Available Volumes (BAVs) associated with NA Supply business for accurate daily accounting responsibilities.
· Monitor counterparty credit exposure and assist Accounting and Credit Departments as needed
· Prepare monthly supplier and customer performance reports
· Update daily pricing spreadsheets and monthly Canadian NGL inventory conversions
· Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or supply chain management from an accredited university
· Related work experience in the Oil & Gas industry or other logistics industry experience will also be considered
· Basic understanding of accounting and accounting formulas
· Strong interpersonal communication skills
· Strong analytical skills and personal computer skills
· Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize work
· Ability to work with minimum supervision
· Regular and reliable attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Right Angle (S21) experience
· Reconciliation and financial reporting (P&L) experience
· Microsoft 365 proficiency
