Sr. Data Engineer Analytics (Project Management)
Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties has a full-time opportunity for a Sr. Data Engineer Analytics in Anaheim, CA.

Essential Functions: The essential functions encompass the core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that are integral to the Data Engineer & Analytics role and contribute to the overall purpose of the job.
• Perform advanced data engineering and analytics to support key performance metrics.
• Resolve complex data engineering and analytics problems by conducting an in-depth analysis of various factors.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and department leaders to gather and clarify data requirements for sophisticated data engineering solutions and advanced analytics.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and workflows using tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Talend, Informatica, StreamSets, or equivalent.
• Design and implement data models, database structures, and schema for efficient data storage, retrieval, and advanced analytics.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Looker, QlikView, SSRS, or equivalent.
• Collaborate with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure to architect and implement scalable and robust data solutions for advanced analytics.
• Utilize advanced database performance tuning techniques to optimize data processing, query performance, and advanced analytics algorithms.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis and mining to identify patterns, correlations, and anomalies for further investigation and advanced analytics insights.
• Contribute to industry benchmarking analysis and develop quantitative business cases based on data insights and advanced analytics.
• Prepare and deliver presentations and recommendations to managers and senior leaders, providing expert consultation on data engineering, analytics, and advanced analytics techniques.
• Generate forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on data analysis, advanced analytics, and market knowledge.
• Identify and resolve data-related errors and issues for end users, implement functional solutions, and provide necessary training and support for advanced analytics

Minimum Education:
• A Bachelor's Degree in Computers, Statistics, Business, or other related area; and/or equivalent experience/training.
Minimum Work Experience:
• Minimum of five (5+) years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on data engineering and analytics.
Other Requirements:
• Hands-on experience with the complete data engineering stack, including:
Databases: Proficiency in working with databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Azure Synapse, Azure Analysis Service (AAS), Azure SQL Data Warehouse, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or equivalent.
ETL: Extensive experience with ETL tools like SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Talend, Informatica, StreamSets, or equivalent.
Data Visualization: Proficiency in creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Looker, QlikView, SSRS, or equivalent.
Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Strong expertise in database performance tuning to optimize data processing and query performance.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex data engineering and analytics challenges.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and data modeling.
• Proficient in application environments, database connections, business logic, and SQL queries.
• Exceptional critical thinking skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Thorough understanding of business intelligence functions, analytics, industry standards, and best practices.
• Proven experience as a data engineering and analytics professional, capable of translating theoretical concepts into practical solutions. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the field, can independently execute responsibilities, and demonstrates proficiency in analyzing problems and identifying suitable solutions.

• This position requires travel to other sites and locations; if using a personal vehicle to meet this requirement, a valid CA driver's license and current auto insurance in compliance with the minimum requirements of CA vehicle code are required.
