Business Manager (Project Management)
The Business Manager works directly for the General Manager and under the guidance of the Corporate Finance and Human Resource Directors. The Business Manager serves in a leadership position on the property staff and performs the Manager on Duty role as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Finance
Assist in the propertys overall financial management, including compliance with the organizations financial policies and procedures.Manage Accounts Receivable, including daily/monthly reconciling of revenue reports and bank deposits.Manage Accounts Payable, including the processing of invoices, expense reports, and credit card statements.Perform routine, day-to-day tasks associated with financial management such as preparing financial reports, recording data into the financial system, depositing cash/checks to banking institutions, and auditing petty cash.Assist vendors, clients and customers on questions or issues related to accounts, procedures and services.Monitor organizational cash flow and assist with forecasts and budgeting for the property.Assist ESMs Director of Finance with requested tasks and reporting. Work with the Fitness Director on monthly membership reconciliation
Human Resources
Serve as the primary Human Resources contact for the property.Manage/Monitor timesheets and train department heads in timesheet management.Assist department heads with the opening of requisitions and throughout the hiring and onboarding process.Assist with conducting interviews and the selection of candidates to ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies.Manage E-Verify (applicable properties).Conduct new employee orientations and staff training.Serve as the propertys subject matter expert for the companys benefits plan.Oversee employee recognition programs and employee events to boost employee morale.Manage internal and external Human Resource-related issues in accordance with company policies and procedures.Assist ESMs Director of Human Resources with requested tasks and reporting.
Business Operations
Support the management team in the execution of the company mission and work with various department heads (i.e., Business Development, Tournaments, Leagues, Youth, etc.) accordingly.Oversee and manage the Front Desk staff and Shift Supervisors.Oversee and manage the Internship program (if applicable).Perform (or delegate) various office and clerical functions such as ordering supplies, routing mail, operating office equipment, and assisting customers.Other duties as assigned.
